SAT/ACT

GENERAL INFORMATION

     The ACT and SAT are standardized tests designed to gauge how well students are prepared for college level courses. Submitting scores for these tests is required to apply for some colleges, and good scores on either of them can look great on your college applications. Both are offered at RHS throughout the year, but there is a limited number of spots available per test, so make sure you sign up early to ensure a spot. 

PRICING 

     Currently both the SAT and ACT cost $68, with the ACT being priced at $93 if you choose to complete the optional essay.

AP TESTING

GENERAL INFORMATION

     AP tests are offered in May to students who complete any of the various AP courses offered at RHS. Scoring a 3 or above on the exam for an AP course can earn students the college credits for that course. Because students only pay for the test itself and not the course materials or tuition of the college class, passing an AP exam can be very valuable. Even if you don’t score over a 3 on the test, taking the AP exam can look good on college applications. 

PRICING

    Each AP exam costs $99, with an additional $40 late fee being applied if exams are ordered after November 15th and before March 15th. College Board offers a $37 fee reduction per exam for students who qualify for financial aid. 

DATES

    The deadline for signing up for the AP testing is October 4th. The exams will be given  between May 5-16, 2025. Tests are either administered in the morning or afternoon, depending on the course.
