This year at RHS we have many new teachers. They are shaping the future of not only RHS but also all the students in it. So let's get to know a few of them!
Mr. Dunn is the new engineering studies teacher! He is a retired engineer with over 30 years of work experience in both HP and Motorola. In a recent interview he states that engineering is “both an art and a science.” Although all of his children, 3 girls and 3 boys, studied at Rancho Bernardo High School, he has always had respect for the RHS Bulldogs. He speaks very highly of Ramona and even almost moved here! His initial thought was, “it’s a good family place,” but he decided to stay in RB. Mr. Dunn will be a great addition to the bulldog family!
Ms. Moran, the new Sculpture I and Drawing & Painting I teacher! While this is her first year teaching at RHS, she has been spreading her passion of the visual arts for 17 years. She believes in art’s ability to help with creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and even improving personal connections. She thinks of art as an “all encompassing great subject to teach.” This year, she looks forward to working with the Bulldogs and helping us to understand the intrinsic value of visual artistry. She loves animals, she has a cat and a dog. When interviewed, it was obvious that she possesses a deep appreciation for art and the people that she teaches.
Our newest addition to the Special Education department is Ms. Roe! Although it may be her first year officially teaching here, she has been a Bulldog for many years. Ms. Roe is a Ramona Bulldog alumni and has been a substitute teacher here at RHS on many occasions in the past. Known more fondly to the students as Brante, she also coaches our beloved Song team. It is evident that she has always had a special connection with the people here. She decided to teach special education because she loves the students and wants to help them succeed. When asked, she expressed that her favorite part of the job was getting to work with her amazing students. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Ms. Roe and the students she teaches!
