The RHS Care Closet is an organization that supplies the essential items for students who need them. It is located in the RHS library and has everything ranging from clothes, shoes, toiletries, food, and other essentials that kids would need. This organization was started by Mrs. Mcdonald who wants all students to have their basic needs met so that they can focus on their education. The care closet started from Mrs. Mcdonald taking notice to a few students needing some essential items. As she worked to provide students with the items they needed, the close grew from just her collecting the items requested, to collaborating with local business and other people for donations. Other staff members and students also helped to organize things and make donations of their own.

Any students who need items can scan the QR code or link that is located on canvas and flyers. Everything is free and all they will need to do is fill out their order form and list everything that they need. The process is completely anonymous. Orders are delivered each Thursday at the RHS library and when the order is ready they will text the cell number provided. When picking the order up the only information needed is the last 4 digits of the phone number. If it is a bigger need like shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, etc. students can visit Mrs. Mcdonald in the library anytime or email her at cmcdonald@ramonausd.net. If there is anything you need during school or immediately big or small you can also directly visit the library and pick up what you need right then and there.

If you are interested in getting involved in the organization, please contact Mrs. Mcdonald or visit her at the library. Any students, parents or staff are welcome to make any kind of donation as long as the item is new or lightly used. You can also contact Mrs. Mcdonald if you are interested in getting involved with organization in the care closet.
